Description

The Barker Fire Department is an organization of volunteer firemen/women that was established in 1917.  The BFD provides essential services to the surrounding residents, such as ambulance, fire and rescue. The Fire Department is the Chartered Organization for Barker Cub Scout Pack 26. 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!  We are in dire need of your help.  We have a low number of active members, and less than half are certified for interior firefighting.  All equipment and training are provided to you at no cost.  Serving your community and the residents who live here will have a long lasting effect on your life and the lives of the people you help.  If you are at least 18 years of age and out of high school, of sound mind and body, and a resident of the Town of Somerset with a valid driver's license, you are eligible to join.  Please consider joining, your community depends on it!   Stop at the Fire Hall any Thursday night between 7PM and  9PM if you are interested.
